Tell you something about body hair removal

Personal preference plays a big part in the choice an individual makes. The preference of how often, pain and time all go into what method a person chooses. It is an individual choice, but understanding a little about some good ways for hair removal can help make the choice easier.

Electrolysis is a permanent method of body hair removal. It needs to be done by a professional. Electrolysis involves applying electrical currents to the hair roots, which makes the root unable to produce hair again. It is a tedious process and for large areas can take hours and be quite expensive.

Depilatory Products, which comes in gel form, mousse, cream, are chemical based products that dissolve hair on the skin's surface. Depilatories are made up of harsh chemicals used in cleaning products. Thus, if you have a sensitive skin this might not be the right choice for you.

Electrical shavers are among the most inexpensive and time-saving choices. It is a device used to remove tapered tip of hair shaft. This, however, can make the hair thick when it re-grows.

Hair growth inhibiting products acts on the hair follicle, making it weaker and in the long run lead to zero hair growth. These are not best for coarse hair as this type of hair is hard to treat and might take a long time. These products are generally is safer but need repetitive treatment. Among these body hair removal products, hair growth inhibiting products are often the most expensive.

Most of these products are not lasting or permanent. Some can even cause skin irritation and medical problems, and permanent damage if not used properly. Others are also very expensive. And while some of these methods are still in the testing phase and are not yet clinically proven, it is important to ask guidance from a doctor-supervised facility first before choosing to use especially chemical based body hair removal products.

One of the older tried and tested methods of body hair removal is of course waxing. This is my personal favorite. What could be more pleasant than having hot wax poured over your body and having hair ripped from its roots? If you've never had the pleasure of experiencing this form of body hair removal, I highly recommend it. Somewhere between medieval torture and a bad day at the dentist, getting your body hair waxed is a great way to spend an afternoon.

The most popular of all is also the most familiar to all of us, shaving. Shaving is by far the most popular form of body hair removal although I'm not so sure it is the most efficient. While it is painless, or at least is supposed to be, the hair just ends up growing back a short time later anyway, and what do you do about the hard to reach areas. Body hair removal for your legs, armpits, and of course face is easy to do by shaving, but what you do if you're looking to remove back hair or maybe even your butt? Now there is a pleasant thought. And of course shaving always carries the risk of you cutting yourself.
